No Mud, No Lotus: Hip Openers for Growth and Transformation
10:30-12:30pm
The lotus flower grows and blooms in muddy swamps, thriving not in spite of the mud, but because of the mud. This lotus is a reminder that growth occurs because we are able to use the more challenging, “muddy” experiences of our lives as fuel for transformation, rather than as the reason we stay stuck.
In the workshop today, you’ll apply this idea to your hips. Instead of succumbing to the muck of tight, cranky hips from being seated and immobile for too long, you’ll work through some of the challenging areas of your own hips to create more ease and freedom.
When your hips are less tight, your whole body benefits. You’ll have less tension in your back and less rigidity in your hamstrings.
You might get a little muddy, but through intentional and conscious movement, you’ll bring more space to your hips and length to your spine.
You might even grow your own lotus.
