The Love Project: Yoga Outreach

The Love Project outreach program exists to offer yoga practices to those in the Harrisonburg community who are currently underrepresented and/or underserved in yoga studios, due to perceived challenges or obstacles including but not limited to age, race, gender, physical ability and/or financial hardship. We recognize that yoga has immense potential to elevate physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, thereby supporting the integration of individuals who can further contribute to the growth and development of our community in the Shenandoah Valley.

Who We Are

We are yoga teachers and community members. We are mothers, daughters, sisters; fathers, sons, and brothers. We are schoolteachers, massage therapists, woodworkers, travelers, artists and musicians. We are caring, passionate, curious, and engaged. We are citizens of our beloved small town and citizens of the world. We are each here to share our unique understanding of and passion for the yoga practice.

    Organization Details

The Love Project’s outreach efforts depend on studio-generated funding as well as instructor availability. Is the organization able to offset any costs for providing service?

(Please know that, while reduced rate classes are available for certain groups, at this time we are limited in what we can offer. Costs for classes covers reimbursement for our teachers, many of whom have completed extensive and costly trainings. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.)
